Tampa PAL is a non-profit organization staffed by full time Tampa Police Officers and civilian employees. The Officers and staff are dedicated to establishing a better relationship between Tampa's community and the police department through the close interaction of officers and kids. Officers take on the role of coach to children in after school
and summer programs. This relationship helps to facilitate understanding
by breaking down barriers intrinsic between law enforcement and
communities. The programs are offered at a substantially decreased cost
to aid financially challenged families.
